The HiRise for MacBook has two polymer rails on the bottom - very similar to the base of iMacs and Apple Displays. Not only do these rails protect your desk from scratches, but they allow you to reposition your MacBook via the HiRise stand itself. This makes it much easier to safely adjust the position of your MacBook or to swivel it to share a screen with a colleague.
