My BookBook arrived with scratches, scuffs, and spots on the leather. Is this normal?Updated a year ago

Yes.  All BookBooks will have scratches, scuffs, and/or spots to some extent or another.  These are an intentional part of the distressing process to make them look like used, vintage books.  And since this distressing is done by hand, no two will be alike, meaning some will be almost scratch-free, while some will be heavily scratched and scuffed.
